SCALING UP FAST: BUILDING A TEAM FROM SCRATCH

CallMiner is a late stage company that pioneered the speech analytics industry when they were founded in 2002. CallMiner provides speech analytics solutions for use cases in improving call agent performance and uncovering customer insights.Their analytics platform digests and analyzes communication across all channels using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. They are an industry leader generating $30M in revenue annually.

A NEW TEAM TO HIT PIPELINE GOALS

CallMiner needed to hire a new team of 9 entry level BDRs to help them hit aggressive pipeline goals. The CEO approved this plan mid-August of 2019, and they needed everyone to start by October 1. It was a high volume of hires, and the growth goals increased the pressure to hire quickly.

ON DEMAND ACCESS TO TALENT

Using the candidate profiles on LaunchSource’s hiring platform, CallMiner had immediate, on-demand access to pre-vetted talent. LaunchSource’s candidate profiles go beyond the resume and allowed the CallMiner team to hear audio pitches from each candidate about why they want to start a career in sales. They were also able to get a feel for how the candidates communicate, and how they would sound on the phone. This helped them more efficiently choose who to schedule for interviews.

Once CallMiner’s hiring managers selected the candidates, LaunchSource introduced them directly and CallMiner was able to kick off the interview process right away.

MEETING CANDIDATES OFFLINE

CallMiner also attended a LaunchSource Combine Day, which is LaunchSource’s signature offline hiring event where companies can meet a month’s worth of candidates in a single afternoon. CallMiner met 21 candidates that day, a pool from which they advanced candidates directly to an on-site interview.

They had on-demand access to candidate profiles on the hiring platform, and maximized their efficiency by conducting 21 additional interviews in one day at Combine Day.
